New Thor: The Dark World Trailer
Now in the super hero fandoms, you won't find me lining up at midnight to see Thor. In fact, I saw the last one on Netflix. Maybe because it wasn't in my comic book collection as a kid. Either way, I know there are fans out there...so this is for you!

Film Industry Updates Movie Ratings System
As a new parent, I can appreciate this! As a citizen in a world with increasing violence and de-sensitivity, I can appreciate it even more. I know media and film isn't the root of all violence, but it is good to have a rating system from the MPAA in which parents can be aware of what there children are watching.

New Only God Forgives International Trailer
It's no secret that one of my favorite directors is Nicolas Winding Refn. "I didn't know that!" you say. Well you do now! :) His films specialize in atmospheric, beautiful framing, that give you the transcendent film experience that you go to the movies for. I mean, even in "Pusher" you can see there was something special. "Bronson", "Valhalla Rising", and "Drive" are all great examples of his use of heightened reality. I could go on and on.
I can't wait to see "Only God Forgives". Refn reteams with Ryan Gosling in the film. Gosling plays Julian, a drug-smuggler thriving in Bangkok's criminal underworld, who sees his life get even more complicated when his mother compels him to find and kill whoever is responsible for his brother's recent death. This film looks like I may pay to see it in theaters a few times!
Only God Forgives is an upcoming crime thriller film written and directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, starring Ryan Gosling, Kristin Scott Thomas and Vithaya Pansringarm. The film was shot on location in Bangkok, Thailand. The film is set to release July 19, 2013.
