Today on the show I’m talking with Seth Gadsden, director of the Indie Grits Festival. The fest, now in its 13th year is going on now in my hometown of Columbia, SC and they have a lot of stuff cooking you’ll want to know about. I also talk with director and founder of DC Web Fest, Otessa Ghadar. The fest hits the nation’s capital April 12th and 13th so you have a little time to get ready, but over the next couple of weeks I’ll be releasing interviews with some of the officially selected entrants of the festival. So I also have writer/producer and director/producer of Fake News Writer, Eric Pzena and Dani Hanks; writer/director/producer of Guess I’m a Ghost web series, Christopher Sullivan, and co-creator/director of Shangri-LA web series, Drew Rosas, all on today’s podcast!

Happy Friday folks! This week I have three Film Fatales joining me. I was probably way to eager to speak with founder of the Film Fatales organization, Leah Meyerhoff. We talked about how the organization started and why its existence is necessary in these times. I also talk with director Sharon Lewis about her Afrofuturist film, Brown Girl Begins. We talk about the origins of her creating the film and what Afrofuturism is. Finally, I talk with director Suzi Yoonessi about her film Unlovable. I had the pleasure of seeing the film and you can too next week, Nov. 2nd as it has a limited release in theaters!
