Ender's Game Trailer
In a world where children/teen books are coming to the big screen constantly, another classic book has made it's way to the 2013 release table. "Ender's Game" is a military sci-fi fiction novel by Orson Scott Card. The film of the same name will make it's debut this November. Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, A Reasonable Man) directed the film. I'm sure a lot of former and present readers are looking forward to this film.
Synopsis:
After an alien race called the Formics (also known as the "Buggers") attacks Earth, the International Fleet prepare for the next invasion by training the best young children to find the future leader to lead the International Military. Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is pulled out of his Earth school to join International Fleet and attend the legendary Battle School in Space. After easily mastering the increasingly difficult war games, distinguishing himself and winning respect among his peers, Ender is soon ordained by Colonel Graff (Harrison Ford) as the military's next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he's trained by Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley) himself to lead the military into a war that will determine the future of Earth and the human race.

Any Jack Bauer fans out there? After ending it's original run in 2010, the trendsetting "24" will return to Fox in the form of a 12 episode mini-series. Check out this article from Fox News.
Captain Phillips Trailer
Tom Hanks stars in the true story of Captain Richard Phillips and the 2009 hijacking by Somali pirates of the US-flagged MV Maersk Alabama, the first American cargo ship to be hijacked in two hundred years. I saw this trailer yesterday and it kind of disturbed me. While it's based on a brave true life story, all I could do is shake my head and say "Hollywood Xenophobia at its best".
NBC's "Deception" Cancelled
I've been rooting for Meagan Good ever since she tried to buy an ice cream from Big Worm in "Friday". Her career actually seems to be doing better these days as an adult actress. According to Deadline, I guess NBC didn't want to keep going toe to toe with similar themed shows. I'm sure she and the rest of the cast will find something else.
